Work-in-progress...

Here's four out of the six posters I am doing, (In order = MJ, Layne Staley = Alice In Chains, Janis Joplin and Andrew Wood = Mother Love Bone). The basic layout is here but the final images are still being completed.
The overall colour-schemes will be black and white like they are now but there will be some colour added to the backgrounds of the final posters. Also still to be added are the "lyrics" in proper handwriting and each artists signature/autograph to the background.

Do Not Betray Our Secret...

ok.. so here is the set for ' do not betray our secret'... any thoughts?

I'm going with the big blocks of vector colour because i don't know..guess i feel like the intricacy of the all the detailed lines may get a bit.. repetitive... throughout a whole publication..

These blocks of colour let me play with the image/text relationship more without feeling like i need to be too precious about the drawings themselves.. i guess if they were purely illustrations then i'd go with the BW ones.. but considering typography and layout i think some strong bits of colour might make each page more interesting...

what do you guys think?.. feel free to disagree.. i just wanted to know ppl's opinions :)Thank Y'allllllllllll!

which one?

Hey Everyone

Now that im changing the colours for my outer packaging the text needs to stand out more on the spine. Which one?

Red or B/W?

Hey guys... umm. Red or B/W?
This is me attempting to design a cover because I wanted to sit infront of the computer for a change. The title is roughly put together because at this stage all I really want to work out is the colour to have the title and text in book. I don't like black because it clashes with the idea of avoiding black ink. Purple works well with brown ink and does crop up in a few watercolours. What do you think of purple?

Okay! sorry guys.. I've added a bit more colour around... just so that the eyes aren't random...
more colour ... less colour? ...right colour? haha

COlouring in TIME!

Sooo. i've been playing around with colour more. I want the eyes to be striking and to stand out! i had tried out some with photoshop stuff, but looks crrrap. i don't really like the 'photoshoppy' look if you know what i mean...
here are two I've done with vectors. im liking this look way more... but i want to play with and develop the colouring a bit more..
but what u girls think?... doen't look tacky does it???

Issue One

Final drawings, what do you guys think?

Just starting to design the book now, ignoring the layout of the text etc on the other page what do you think about the images bleeding out of the page?

Attack of the nuclear bunnies

My first order turned up and I'm really excited about it!
Here's a sneak peek.

I'm trying to think up some snappy titles.

A bit of colour!

This is the first colour one I'm working on, I'm starting to get precious about all the line work that it is hard to know how much colour to apply. I would like to leave some white space and line but I am on my way to the art store to buy more colour - a variety of green. I have other colours but they wont work in this one.
